This creature here is so full of awesome, I wish it were my best friend. We would go to parties and bring our coconuts and have a blast. What TV show theme song best represents your outlook on life?

My favourite TV show theme song is Fringe’s. I also like the Massive Attack track for House. But these instrumental tunes are very hip, which I am not…

I loved when Aliens in America, a brilliantly hilarious but unfortunately cancelled show, used “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding” for their theme song. I guess that best represents my outlook on life. Cancelled. :P

Forgive the sincerity but I really want to know the answer to this one: what is your favorite song and why? by essdogg

This is a tough question, turd.

My all-time favourite songs include Weezer’s Only In Dreams, Natalie Merchant’s Beloved Wife, Snow Patrol’s Run, Lisa Germano’s Darkest Night of All and Brand New’s The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot. I even have cheesy ones like Hoobstank’s The Reason and Backstreet Boy’s As Long As You Love Me. And Malay songs you wouldn’t know. The list would be endless. What they all have in common is some form of sentimental value attached to each one.

If I were pressed to choose just one, it’d have to be a Radiohead song. I’ve always maintained Let Down is my mostest favouritest song. But it’s really Black Star. Simple yet heartbreaking. There’s so much love amidst despair. I’ve never had a relationship to that extent so I don’t relate in that sense… instead it feels like a conversation within myself.

I remember Ross saying bands like Radiohead are too serious (or sommat)… This is definitely one of their simpler songs that just hits me. And leaves me so vulnerable.

I hope this essay is a satisfactory answer.
